Artful Life — A New Corner of the Playground

I’ve added a new page to the website for my artwork.

It’s going to be a bit of a living room – projects will show up there as they’re finished. I’ll blog while working on new projects going forward too, whenever the stage I’m at might interest you. I’ll include the inspirations behind works, my attempts at problem solving, and experiments I was playing with.

My art includes music, too, not just photography, painting, and drawing. Much of my work earlier in life was photography, and at that time I felt that acrylic painting was a great hobby. Now I still draw, paint, and make photographs, but I also am eager to learn more about music making. I’ve had synthesizers for many years now, and only recently began making songs. Why did I wait???

And don’t forget writing – I got serious about that in the past two years also. I am about to finish a creativing writing certificate this month from George Brown College! I’ll share those too; they’re too fun to keep to myself.

If you’ve been following my fitness blog posts, you’ll probably recognize the same “playground” spirit here in my artistic activities. I like exploring, trying things, noticing what works, and sharing the process – not just the polished outcomes.

This new art section won’t be updated as frequently as my fitness content, but when something lands here, it’ll be something I’ve genuinely been curious about or excited to make.

Think of it as another part of the same overall idea: life is something we practice, experiment with, and enjoy over time. I think sharing sports and exercise encouragement alone is dull – and much more meaningful when you also see how I fit creative work into my life.
