Progress With an Exciting Experiment Today

Colouring group feels more real now

I’ve been quietly planning a small online colouring group. Something simple, creative, and lightly social. And after thinking about this for months, knowing that it would be online, I picked the venue. Zoom. A few days ago I preferred another choice, one that I use at work and is also free to start with, but I decided on Zoom after all. It just felt right.

It’s for real people, not my work colleagues. People already seem to like Zoom, although everyone has their favourite tools. It does the job, and it’s free (although I’ll be upgrading soon so that I can remove the 40-minute event limit). It’s a small price to pay for being able to connect online socially with people of similar mindset.

That’s you. If you’re creative or crafty, and want to do a crafty thing like adult colouring (or drawing) for a short time while meeting new people, please do consider joining!

The booking button is the next ‘whew!’ factor

The only thing I’m missing now is a booking link. I decided on the tool I’ll use, and I will need to set that up. Every day gets closer to the goal. I know it’s a bit premature to offer products on my relatively new blog. I am encouraged by a few unexpected requests for computer assistance (I used to be a busy tutor). I had to help these people without a way to book a spot in my schedule. Booking tools solve that issue, so I think I’ll get a lot of value out of it immediately.

The whole blog and website seems to be growing in ways I’ve dreamed about for years. Being a fun-loving creative person with both feet on the ground with attention to health and wellness is really paying off as I age. I’m sharing my favourite tips and stories to help others overcome the struggling parts of life, and learn from imaginative and better ways to live, work, and play.

I invite you to hang out for a while at my colouring group event and make something thoughful.

This is one of those little experiments that feels meaningful to me. Not because it’s huge or ambitious, but because life feels better when people make room for low-pressure creative time.

We’ll see where it goes next. 😊
