It’s gotten late Thursday, so let’s get right to it. I hope this inspires you to try something new or keep going strong with what you’re doing. I’ll start with last Thursday.
Thursday: 10 minutes yoga
Yeah that’s all, sorry folks. I had an energetic day but it was mostly at the computer. I snuck this in after dinner but before relaxing with video games.
Saturday: 30 minutes walking, 10 minutes Ninjaline
It was a delightfully social day. I walked to and from one gaming event. Probably got some other walking time in there too. When I got home, I spent a little time with my Ninjaline obstacles. Again only about 10 minutes due to slow progress. I’d really love to be able to hang on and go from one end to the other without dropping off or jumping off.
Sunday: 40 minutes walking
I walked in my neighbourhood, as usual. I haven’t returned to jogging since I got shingles, but it’ll return. I’ve needed a lot of time to catch up at work and home. I just got to the point where I can sleep on either side now without disrupting my sleep due to pain. I think more exercise is due now.
Monday: 60 minutes walking
This was easy – I was at Butchart Gardens north of Victoria, and you can’t help but walk for 30 minutes in this direction, 30 minutes in that direction. I enjoyed some time wandering in the Japanese garden as well, so I was out there at least an hour.
I was with my dad and we climbed the steps of the big rock in the middle of the sunken garden. I never noticed that before! Most of my past visits were during evening and winter so maybe I was aiming for other garden areas (and lights) at the time.
Check out the view! The weather was amazing – bright and sunny but not too hot.

Tuesday: 60 minutes yardwork, footbag, and Ninjaline
I swept the ground around the obstacle course, cut down some branches, and rearranged the obstacles on the Ninjaline. It’s much easier to use now. At least until the shrubs and trees grow again.
I exercised/clung to the Ninjaline holds, plus I played footbag twice (before and after Ninjaline). Finally I also did some skipping – another thing I need to practice since I’ve been sick. My technique looked super clumsy so you’ll see no photos of that here!
